How it works

Our toolkit for installing these monuments.

Each location will have markers honoring women selected from our toolkit. These could be sidewalk pavers, railing plaques, or free standing signs. Each of these markers will be embedded with a QR code, which will take the viewer directly to a digital interface where they can read more about each honoree, see an interactive timeline, and map other park locations. We are working on developing this interface and working to refine the nomination process

Through geolocation technology, interactive site-specific coding, and input from residents, The All Along Project becomes a living record of people and places, using the outdoor installations as markers for neighborhoods to celebrate local women throughout history and to set a precedent for future women. The chain reaction of community involvement and documentation of storytelling can begin to produce a larger public record.
